Nethertown Railway Station serves the village of Nethertown in Cumbria, England. The railway station is a request stop on the Cumbrian Coast Line 62 kilometres (39 mi) north west of Barrow-in-Furness. The station is alongside the coast on which (on a good day) the Isle of Man is visible. The station was a passing loop until the 1970's, and was very busy in the 1940-50's when a large camp existed housing the workers building Sellafield Nuclear plant.

It is operated by Northern Rail who provide all passenger train services. Station usage statistics for 2004-5 show 326 passengers using the station - less than one person a day - compared to 556 in 2002-3.

Services

Mondays to Saturdays, four trains per day call at the station in each direction, Carlisle northbound and Barrow-in-Furness southbound (if requested to do so). There is no evening or Sunday service.
