The PDMREA is a major teaching and research association in Bahadurgarh, Haryana; one of the largest in Haryana with over 4,000 full-time students.

History

P.D. Memorial Religious & Memorial Association was established in the year 1995-96 in the memory of Late Sh. Prabhu Dayal Ji. The noted philanthropist devoted his whole life to the upliftment of the different sections of society. Born in 1938, Sh. Prabhu Dayal led a life of never ending struggle. Just nine days after his birth, the cruel hands of destiny rudely snatched his revered father. By dint of his hard work, he completed his formal education and dedicated himself to the service of humanity. In his strife torn life, he not only reached the highest level of education but also exemplified a rare degree of administrative acumen. By attaining an administrative position characterised by honesty & integrity, he became a paradigm of administrative excellence. As an administrative officer, he discharged his official duties in various capacities. he fulfilled his onerous responsibilities by implementing various welfare schemes.

Campus

Location

The main campus is located 5 kilometres (3.1 mi) west of the New Delhi-Haryana border. The PDMREA is spread over a Sprawling 65 acres (260,000 m²) campus in Sarai Aurangabad, Bahadurgarh, an Hour’s drive form New Delhi. Totally pollution free, the campus Boasts of elegant buildings, beautifully landscaped spacious lawns And well laid roads. The college has fully furnished hostels and Mess facilities for boys and girls. Air-conditioned Administrative Block,spacious teaching blocks, ultra-modern libraries, hostels and temple,everything is constructed here keeping the futuristic generator sets and thus the electricity is available on the campus round the clock. Endowed with a well designed amphitheater and verdant greenery, the campus provides an ambience that is conducive to learning.

In addition to the main campus, there is also a satellite location at jind.

Geography

PDMREA is in Bahadurgarh at 28°41′N 76°55′E / 28.68°N 76.92°E / 28.68; 76.92.^[1] It has an average elevation of 207 metres (675 ft).

Facilities

Libraries

The engineering college has a spacious library with a total covered area of 1270 sq.m. having a reading room capacity of 200 students. The library contains books from national and international publishers in different disciplines including text books, reference books, handbooks, encyclopedia, reports and general books. The library contains 29,493 books, 43 national journals and 21 international journals. The library also holds 608 online National /International Journals subscribes. The digital section of the library contains 833 CDs, 8 DVDs and 23 audio cassettes. One hundred latest journals and magazines add value to the library. The library also provides 7 English and 9 hindi daily newspapers. A Book Bank facility to cater to the requirement of needy students has also been set up to provide books in all subjects for full semester duration. The library also has reprographic facility for the college. There are separate libraries for engineering and medical colleges in the campus. There is also a library located on the jind campus.

Computing

The Institute is equipped with sophisticated computer labs with 553 high quality Pentium 4 machines from Compaq/ IBM/ LG/ Zenith having latest software.All machines are of industry standards (P-IV multimedia workstations).Labs are equipped and inter connected with high speed switch networking.Facilities like printers and scanners are provided in each and every computer lab.24 hr. internet facility backed up with high speed 512 kbit/s RF link Radio connectivity under consideration for 1024 kbit/s). All computer labs are air-conditioned and upgradation of software is synchronized with changing syllabus and other prescribed standards. The campus is wi-fi enabled.

Miscellaneous

The college maintain 5 playgrounds and extensive indoor games facilities at PDM Sports Complex. The students are also sponsored to various inter college sports/ culture/ literary activities.More than 75 buses are available daily for to and fro movement of students as well as faculty from Delhi , Gurgaon , Rohtak and Bahadurgarh .623 KVA capacity generators for 24 hours power supply to P.D.M.campus.Mineral Water Plant of sufficient capacity drinking water throughout the campus.The campus also has a rain water harvesting plant.

Accommodation

There is accommodation provided for postgraduates, staff and undergraduates who have been unable to find alternative accommodation.The college maintains five hostels (4 for boys and 1 for girls).
