Electoral district of Sydney Hamlets

Sydney Hamlets was a former electoral district of the Legislative Assembly in the Australian state of New South Wales from 1856 to 1859, including what were then outer suburbs of Sydney and are now the inner suburbs of Paddington, Surry Hills, Redfern, Chippendale, Glebe, Camperdown, O'Connell Town (north Newtown), Balmain, North Sydney, Kirribilli and McMahons Point. It elected two members simultaneously, with voters casting two votes and the first two candidates being elected. [cite book
