Imazu, Shiga

was a town located in former Takashima District, Shiga, Japan.

As of 2003, the town had an estimated population of 14,018 and a density of 114.21 persons per km². The total area is 122.74 km².

The town was dissolved upon the formation of a new city on Jan. 1, 2005 called Takashima with the merging of Adogawa, Imazu, Kutsuki (village), Makino, Shinasahi, and Takashima towns.
