WXBQ-FM is one of several Tri-Cities Country music formatted radio stations. WXBQ-FM is owned by Bristol Broadcasting Company, with "twin" radio stations WQBE-FM in Charleston, West Virginia, and WKYQ-FM in Paducah, Kentucky. WXBQ broadcasts with an ERP of 75,000 watts.

WXBQ is the leader in the Arbitron ratings for the Tri-Cities Metropolitan Statistical Area. According to Bristol Broadcasting Company, WXBQ's listening audience is strong in the 18 to 49 (male and female), and 25 to 54 (male and female) demographic ranges. Also, according to WXBQ's website, the station has been #1 in the market for over 15 years now. The station is also currently the #1 Country radio station in United States.
