Early life and education

Satyaranjan was born on January 19, 1939 in West Godavari district, Andhra Pradesh, India[1] After completing his schooling and college education, he secured a B.A. degree through the Andhra University in 1959.[1]

Divinity

Satyaranjan was interested in pursuing divinity and left for Serampore College, West Bengal where he obtained a B.D. degree in 1964[1] and also studied under Yisu Das Tiwari.

Administrative Officer

After completing studies in Serampore College, Satyaranjan was invited to serve as an Administrative Officer at the Senate of Serampore College (University). Accepting the responsibility entrusted to him, he served in that capacity from 1965 through 1971[1] under the then Registrar, Rev. Chetti Devasahayam.[2]

Further Studies

In the year 1971 he sought study leave and proceeded to the United Theological College, Bangalore under the principalship of Joshua Russel Chandran. By 1973, he obtained his M.Th. degree in New Testament at this college.[1]

On invitation from the United Theological College, Bangalore, Satyaranjan served as Registrar from 1973 through 1978.[1]

Registrar Senate of Serampore College (University)

By 1978, the Senate of Serampore College (University) in which Rev. Satyaranjan earlier served as Administrative Officer invited him again, this time to serve as its Registrar.[1]

Sabbatical

The Senate granted sabbatical to Rev. Satyaranjan who then proceeded to the United States of America and spent time at the San Francisco Theological Seminary (SFTS).

Subsequently, he returned to Serampore to continue to serve as the Registrar.

Retirement

In the year 2004,[3] Rev. Satyaranjan retired from the Registrarship of the University after having served in that capacity for more than twenty-five years.

From Serampore, Rev. Satyaranjan proceeded to Secunderabad and now lives a retired life in Karkhana area there.
