At the 2006 census, the county's population was 279,014, in 73,711 families.[1] The county is subdivided into two districts: the Central District and Mehrdasht District. The county has six cities: Najafabad, Alavicheh, Dehaq, Goldasht, Jowzdan, and Kahriz Sang.
