The 1942 NAIA Division I Men's Basketball Tournament was held in March at Municipal Auditorium in Kansas City, Missouri. The 6th Annual NAIA basketball tournament featured 32 teams playing in a single-elimination format [ [http://naia.cstv.com NAIA.org] ] .The championship game featured Hamline University (Minn.) beating Southeastern Oklahoma State University 33 to 31.
