Mella is a municipality in the Santiago de Cuba Province of Cuba. It is located 20 km (12 mi) north of Palma Soriano.

In 2004, the municipality of Mella had a population of 33,667.^[1] With a total area of 335 km² (129 sq mi), it has a population density of 100.4 /km² (260 /sq mi).
