Lionel Morgan is a former professional footballer who played for Wimbledon Football Club before injury forced him to retire from the game. His career was short but he was believed by those who regularly watched him to be among the most talented young players in the game, and perhaps the best from the prolific production line at Wimbledon. This impression was endorsed by a televised appearance for England Under-19s in which he was awarded the 'Man-of-the-Match' award and compared by studio analysts to a young John Barnes.

Morgan joined Wimbledon aged 10 and went through the academy set-up, starting his first match on 26/8/2000. However, he was released by the club in May 2003 due to a knee injury, just two years after Tottenham Hotspur bid £750,000 for the talented midfielder.

He is best known amongst players of the Championship Manager PC game series as being one of the best players on the game despite being a relative unknown in the real world. He was a brilliant left winger for your team and was worth many millions in the future.
