Fred Dekker

Fred Dekker is the writer and director of the Cult classic films "Night of the Creeps" and "The Monster Squad" (written with Shane Black). He contributed the story ideas for both "House" (1986) and "Ricochet" (1991). He also directed and wrote "Robocop 3" (co-written with Frank Miller). Dekker was born on April 9th, 1959 in San Francisco, CA.

"Night of the Creeps" has yet to be released on Region 1 DVD (except for some pirated copies). In an interview with "Movies Made Easy" (a part of simplycinema.blogspot.com) on June 20th, 2005, Dekker expressed interest in contributing to a Special Edition DVD release. Per that same interview, Dekker is currently working on a, "scary, end-of-the-world thriller."
