Nicholas Allen Masset (born May 17, 1982 in St. Petersburg, Florida) is a right-handed pitcher for Major League Baseball's Cincinnati Reds. He was selected in the eighth round of the 2000 entry draft by the Texas Rangers. After graduating from Pinellas Park High School, Masset attended St. Petersburg Junior College prior to entering the Rangers farm system in 2001.

Masset had minor league stints with the Single-A Stockton Ports, Double-A Frisco RoughRiders and Triple-A Oklahoma RedHawks prior to his first call-up in June 2006.

Masset was traded to the Chicago White Sox on December 23, 2006, along with John Danks and Jacob Rasner for Brandon McCarthy and David Paisano.

On July 31, 2008, Masset, along with infielder Danny Richar were both traded to the Cincinnati Reds for right fielder Ken Griffey Jr..[1]

Personal life

Masset married his wife, Jennah, in January 2010.[citation needed]
