Floral, Saskatchewan

Floral, Saskatchewan is a small unincorporated village located in the southeast city limits of Saskatoon, just east of Highway 16 off the Floral Road exit in the province of Saskatchewan, Canada. Floral is part of rural municipality Corman Park No. 344, Saskatchewan. The post office at Floral operated from June 1, 1905 to October 31, 1923.

Floral is famous for two things: a grain elevator, built in 1927, that stands to this day, but mostly as the birthplace of one of the greatest hockey players of all time--Gordie "Mr. Hockey" Howe. Howe was born March 31, 1928 in Floral and attended King George School in Saskatoon, playing on their ice hockey team in the 1940's as a goalie.
