Inglewood is a town in the Taranaki region of New Zealand's North Island. The population was 3,090 in the 2006 Census, an increase of 144 from 2001. [cite web|url=http://www.stats.govt.nz/census/2006-census-data/final-counts/tarankai-region.htm|title=Final counts – census night and census usually resident populations, and occupied dwellings - New Plymouth District|publisher=Statistics New Zealand]

The town is located 16 kilometres southeast of New Plymouth on State Highway 3, close to Mount Taranaki or Mount Egmont. It is a typical small town servicing a mainly dairy farming region. Because of Inglewood's proximity to New Plymouth, there are few shops.

Inglewood was home to the Moa-Nui Co-operative Dairies factory, before it merged with Kiwi Co-operative Dairies in Hawera in 1991. Until comparatively recently, the dual chimneys of this factory could be seen from miles away: as an indicator of one's proximity to Inglewood.

Inglewood was named by Philip Colin Threkeld for Inglewood Forest in Cumberland, UK. The settlement was founded in 1873, and its name rapidly progressed from Moatown to Milton before being renamed in 1875 to avoid confusion with Milton in the South Island.

Inglewood has produced a good share of All Blacks (John Major, Dave "Trapper" Loveridge, Chris Masoe), but also a leading contemporary artist, Michael Stevenson, who represented New Zealand at the 2003 Venice Biennale. The New Zealand national toy museum, 'Fun Ho!' established by Barry Young, is located on Inglewood's main street.

In 2006, Inglewood's only clothing store has stopped carrying women's underwear, spurring Anglican Reverend Gary Husband to start a 'knickers-run' to New Plymouth and organized volunteers to help transport those in need on the 20km trip.
