UK Cover"Chemicals React" is a pop rock song written and recorded by American pop rock duo Aly & AJ, for the re-release (Deluxe Edition) of their debut album Into the Rush. The song was the second main single from that album.

Song information
The song went for mainstream radio add on July 27, 2006.[1] On The Sims 2: Pets, there is a Simlish version on the boombox that was recorded by Aly and AJ, who learned the song in Simlish for the game. The Simlish version (song, and music video) was released for digital download in the iTunes store on October 31, 2006.
A remix of the song was later included in Aly & AJ's second studio album Insomniatic.

The music video was directed by Chris Applebaum[5] and features Aly & AJ performing the song live. It premiered in June 2006. On Hollywood Records's YouTube account, the video has accumulated over 8,558,826 plays.[6]

"Chemicals React" failed to chart on its first release in June 2006, but after its re-release in September 2006, the single charted and reached number fifty in the United States.[7] When it was released as the group's first UK single, it failed to chart due to lack of promotion. To date the single has logged over 600,000 digital downloads,[citation needed] becoming the duo's second certified single.
