Jackie Bird

Jackie Bird (born July 31 1962 in Hamilton, South Lanarkshire) is a Scottish newsreader, working for BBC Scotland.

Career

She is currently one of the main presenters of "Reporting Scotland", a role she shares with Sally Magnusson.

Bird also regularly presents BBC Scotland's "Hogmanay Live" and "Children in Need" programmes.

She is also a newspaper columnist.

During the 1990s, Bird presented an early morning show on Saturdays on BBC Radio 2 between 4:00 and 6:00am.Fact|date=October 2008
