Cleveland Feast of the Assumption Festival

Cleveland Feast of the Assumption Festival
The Feast of the Assumption Festival attracts many people.

The annual Feast of the Assumption Festival takes place each year in Cleveland's Little Italy neighborhood. The festival is held each year on the Catholic holiday of the Feast of the Assumption (August 15), commemorating the Virgin Mary's assumption into heaven. It includes a procession and street fair that takes place for four days, centered around Mayfield Road, near University Circle and the local parish, Holy Rosary Church. Live music is performed throughout the festival, which features restaurants and shops from around the neighborhood setting up street booths to sell food and traditional Italian items to enthusiastic festival attendees. The festival also includes carnival games, fireworks, casino games, and family rides, and is a general celebration of Italian culture and the Italian American neighborhood of Cleveland, which remains relatively unchanged since its establishment. The festival attracts visitors from all over the greater Cleveland area.
