Swept Away is a 1984 album released by American singer Diana Ross on the RCA label. The album followed Diana's disappointing 1983 release, Ross, which sold only 300,000 in the United States.

This album yielded major hit singles with the Daryl Hall-produced "Swept Away" (#19 Pop, #3 R&B) and the Julio Iglesias duet, "All of You" (#19 Pop, #32 R&B, #2 AC), as well as the Lionel Richie-produced "Missing You" (#10 Pop, #1 R&B, #4 AC) which was a tribute to late soul singer Marvin Gaye, who was Ross and Richie's former Motown Records label mate. All three singles were accompanied by hugely successful music videos.

The album also included the #13 R&B single, "Telephone", produced by Bernard Edwards.

Swept Away was certified Gold by the end of the 1984. It eventually sold nearly 900,000 copies by the time it was taken out of print. It peaked at #26 on Billboard Top 200 albums chart, making this her last album to break the Top 40 until "I Love You" in 2007, 23 years later.

Personnel

There was the excellent B-side of "Missing You" and theB-side to Euro single, "Touch by Touch". It was co-written and produced by Diana Ross. It would have definitely made "Swept Away" and even stronger album contender. It is rare and difficult to find.
