Crane Prairie Reservoir is a man-made reservoir located about 42 miles (68 km) southwest of Bend, in Deschutes County, Oregon, United States,[1][2] that also serves as one of Oregon's largest rainbow trout fisheries. It was so named because cranes often fish there. The dam was constructed in 1922 to prevent flooding to the nearby prairie and was rebuilt by the Bureau of Reclamation in 1940.[1][3]
