CTIL was incorporated as a private limited company on 22 April 1997 under the Companies Act, 1956 and was converted into Public Limited Company on 10 January 2000.[9]

CTIL Infrastructure Limited is formed as wholly owned subsidiary of the Company with diversification plans to set up 405 MWS Coal fired Thermal Power plant near JIRAL Village, Bhuban block, Kamakhayanagar, Tahasil, Dhenkanal District, Orissa State. In 2009, Comp U Learn Tech India has bagged order of US$ 1,113,000 from Vetco International & Fajr International companies who are authorized holders for supply of software for health and education services in UAE.[11] In 2010, CTIL has got the Rashtriya Swasthya Bima Yojana order from Uttar Pradesh Government worth of (INR) 19.36 crore.[12]

Acquisitions

  • In 2009, the company acquired 55% majority stake of Hyderabad based SPRY Resources India Pvt Ltd involved in development and execution of e-Governance solutions for State Governments for about 40 Million.[13][14]
  • In October 2009, Comp U Learn board approved the acquisition of a 60% stake in Boden Services Inc, an IT Services company in New Jersey, USA for $1.5 million.[15]
  • In the same year the company acquired 60% Stake in ACE BPO Services Pvt Ltd is a healthcare focused IT enabled services company for about 3.6 crores.[16]
  • CTIL also acquired 51% stake in M/s Shouk Investement Consultancy, Dubai[17] for the purpose of business development in Middle east and African countries. Name of the firm has been changed to M/s COMPULEARN MIDDLE EAST FZC.[13]
