Chalandritsa (Greek: Χαλανδρίτσα) is a village in Achaea, West Greece, Greece. Since the 2011 local government reform it is part of the municipality Erymanthos, of which it is the seat of administration.^[1] Chalandritsa which is 15 km from Patras. Their settlements were Chalandritsa, Mastoreika, Stameika, and Kydwnies. Today it is the seat of the municipality Erymanthos. There is a gymnasium in Chalandritsa, high school, police station, health center. From 1835 until 1912, it was back then municipal district of the municipality of Farrwn.Chalandritsa after passing the town at the edge of the seismic fault which was discovered in 1993. Name

The Chalandritsa populated by the Paleolithic era. Castle

In Chalandritsa, on an unknown date, when the Franks conquered along the 1205 constructed a small Fort, Tower, the ruins of which still remains today. The fortress is mentioned in all the inventories of the castles of Achaea, which was at times by the Venetians and Turks conquerors, such lists showing the castle of 1364, 1471 etc. The castle was used originally as a residence of the franc Baron since Chalandritsa baronia was independent. Education
