Newbrook is a hamlet in central Alberta, Canada within the County of Thorhild No. 7.[2] It is located at the junction of Highway 63 and Highway 661, approximately 28 kilometres (17 mi) northeast of Thorhild and 36 kilometres (22 mi) south of Boyle. It has an elevation of 665 metres (2,182 ft).

The hamlet is located in census division No. 13 and in the federal riding of Westlock-St. Paul.

The hamlet and surrounding area has a strong Polish and Ukrainian influence, mostly from immigration at the turn of the 20th century.

Demographics

As of 2006, Newbrook had a total population of 116 living in 51 dwellings. With a land area of 0.50 km2 (0.19 sq mi), it has a population density of 234.2 /km2 (607 /sq mi).[1]

Industry Canada shows that Newbrook's greater rural area had a total population of 453 living in 216 dwellings in 2001. With a land area of 338.0 km2 (130.5 sq mi), its greater rural area has a population density of 13.0 /km2 (34 /sq mi).[3]
