Plot summary

The owner of a million-dollar gold pharaoh's head claims that it was aboard a freighter that sank off Whalebone Island. However, there are suspicions that he is trying to defraud the shipping line's insurance company. The Hardy Boys help their famous father, Fenton Hardy, investigate. Their research takes them to Philadelphia, New York City, and underwater in the Atlantic Ocean. And also in the town of Bayport.Chet Morton also helps the Hardys during the expedition.
