"Requiem to a Sanctuary" is a manga series created by Naru Tanaka. It is an ongoing 12-volume series that was originally serialized in Kadokawa Shoten's "Asuka". The first volume of the manga has first been adapted by Arena Komik in America and later in seven other languages.

The manga is available in English, published by Arena Komik and in Brazil and Italy by Panini Comics. It is also available in Chinese, published by Tong Li Publishing, and in Spanish, published in Spain by Mangaline and in Mexico by Grupo Editorial Vid. It has been announced that an anime verson shall be airing; one episode has currently been released, twenty-four are to follow. A contract for one possibly two seasons has also been announced.

Plot

Ko Fukurou is an average 16-year-old high school student until her life is thrown through a loop of fire, war, and death. She harbors great past conflict that tortures her brain day and night-every second of her life. Aside from that she must now protect all around her that she finds precious with the power of the seductive soul of the demoness inside her, and her friends at her side or by another's.

Brought to life on the pages of manga by the creator of "Doki Doki Hime"- Naru Tanaka.

The main focus of the storyline is on Ko, and her five classmates--Tsuji, Kinzoku, Nana, Jin, and Kyo. All of which have a magical power, and is much to the dismay of all except Nana and Jin. They are all reincarnations of the Guardians, Destroyers, and Creators. The plot is based around the idea of Adam and Lilith who were said to be the first to give birth to children rather than Adam and Eve. Lilith was Adam's first wife but their marriage didn't comply because she wouldn't think of him as a superior, but rather as an equal. It is said that when Lilith fled from the Garden of Eden god sent three angels after her, Senoy [Tsuji] , Sansenoy [Nana] , and Semangelof [Jin] . When none of them could make her return she eventually fell in love with Asmodai [Kinzoku] who was the demon king, and birthed many demons as king and queen.

God then created Eve--Adam and Eve then had children. Although Lilith's lips spoke Asmodai, her heart ached Adam, and even though Adam's lips spoke Eve his soul screamed Lilith. Their differences mattered little and the two eventually consummated their secret relationship in a way that neither was on bottom. When god found out of the two he punished Adam and Lilith by putting their souls into a never ending reincarnation cycle, until they could get who they wished to bear children with correct. Senoy, Sansenoy, and Semangelof where ordered to reincarnate with them, and to watch over them so they could get it right and be at peace with each other.

Characters

The Protagonists are Fukurou Ko, Makato Tsuji, Nana Takahashi, Jin Misuki, and Kyo Shizune. The antagnists are Asmodai/Kinzoku, Pinky, Murasaki, Aoi, Miidori, Howaito, and Burakku.
