Morbe Dam, is a gravity dam on Dhavari river near Khalapur in state of Maharashtra in India.

Maharashtra Jeevan Pradhikaran started the construction of Morbe dam in 1999 so that water can be supplied to Nhava Sheva region and NMMC area. MJP is a leading organisation under the Maharashtra government that supplies water to rural and urban parts of the state. In 2002 Government of Maharashtra (GOM) permitted NMMC to take over the Morbe dam.[1].

Once the Morbe dam is ready,it will have Supply capacity of 450ML per day. NMMC will supply water not only in Navi Mumbai but also to other corporations and generate an average revenue of Rs 25 crore per year.Efforts are on to avail a part of Morble dam water for Karjat Municipal Corporation.

The Morbe dam will affect 11 villages in the surrounding areas and 776 families will be affected most by it.According to the 1981 census calculations, about 2,897 persons have been affected by the project.
