Rüegsau is located in the lower
Emmental . It borders the Emme and then stretches north-east-ward. It contains the villages of Rüegsauschachen, Rüegsau, Rüegsbach and Rinderbach and severalhamlet s. The municipality has the approximate shape of a rectangle with a width of 2 kilometers (1.2 miles) and a length of 8 kilometers (4.9 miles).Economy
