Emperor s andEmpress es. The style is used to distinguish the status of an emperor/empress from that of aking /queen , who are simply styledMajesty (HM).Today the style has mainly fallen from use with the exception of the Emperor and Empress of Japan (in _ja. 陛下, _ja. "heika").
