Life and career
Mihok was born in New York City, New York, the son of actors Andrea (née Cloak) and Raymond Thorne (born Raymond Mihok).[1][2] He attended the Bronx High School of Science and was raised in Greenwich Village. While at the Bronx High School of Science, Dash played baseball as a middle infielder. He also attended the Professional Children's School in Manhattan with best friend Donald Faison of Scrubs fame.[3] He was a doorman in New York City for many years prior to landing his breakout role in Romeo + Juliet.
Dash is mostly featured in supporting roles in commercial films such as The Day After Tomorrow, The Perfect Storm, The Thin Red Line, and Romeo + Juliet. He has had starring roles in independent features such as Telling You and Loveless in Los Angeles. Mihok played Detective Martin Soap in the film Punisher: War Zone, which was released in December 2008.[4]
He studied dance and can be seen in former girlfriend Alanis Morissette's music video "So Pure". His photography of Morissette is used on the back cover of her "Thank You" single. He also appears in her "We're with the Band" documentary.
He is an advocate and spokesperson of Jaylen Arnold's anti-bullying campaign.[5]
He is good friends with Cougar Town's Josh Hopkins.[6]
He has two sisters, Gwen (an actress) and Cecily (a scientist).[2]
