SL79 is a series of 40 trams operated by the Oslo Tramway. The series is built by Duewag of Germany with 25 units in 1982-84 and Asea Brown Boveri Strømmen with 15 units in 1989. Capacity is 163 passengers, of which 71 can be seated. The first batch is fitted with a single door at both sides of the rear (left and right), while the remaining 15 units have double doors only at the right side of the rear.

The name derives from being ordered in 1979. The delivery was the first delivery of trams to Oslo in 25 years. The delay in new tram orders was due to the Oslo City Council deciding to close the tram operation in 1960, a decision lifted as late as 1977. They operate dominantly on lines 11, 12 and 19 which serve Majorstuen, and are also seen on line 13. They are 22.18 m long, 2.50 m wide, 3.41 m tall and weigh 32.8 tons. They are all painted light blue in exterior color (except those with advert scheme).
