Football in Tunisia

Football is the number one sport in Tunisia.The game is played nationwide (CLP-1, CLP-2 & CLP-3) and at a competitive level in the four regions and 24 governorates that make up the country. Tunisia have reached four FIFA World Cup final competitions (1978, 1998, 2002 and 2006), and have also appeared at the African Cup of Nations on thirteen occasions, triumphing once (2004).
