Canada
Canadian cable operators offer varying levels of service based on different price points, though the actual marketing terms vary. Services offered by the major Canadian providers are included below. In 2007 Telenet bought UPC Belgium (Cable deliverer in Brussels and Leuven).Telenet holds a monopoly on the Flemish cable network, thats why prices are high and included bandwidth is low.Telenet plans to use DOCSIS 3.0 as their new standards, they will use the bandwidth to support their High Definition transmissions. Mach3 is the name of this new standard, planned roll out in begin 2009. Telenet and Belgacom (ADSL provider and host of the Belgium ADSL-network) hold a duopoly in Flanders. Telenet does not resell their network, they don't allow competitors.
Croatia
In
Croatia , [http://www.bnet.hr B.net] provides up to 16 Mbit/s downstream and 1 Mbit/s upstream since November 2007. It offers the following unlimited packets::If broadband is taken without UPC's television service, then an additional 6 EUR fee applies on top of the monthly package fee. 6Mb light is the legacy 2Mb UPC package, and is no longer offered as an internet package to customers. It has been rumoured that UPC may begin trialling 40 Mbit/s downstream packages sometime towards the end of 2008.Other major providers include:
Digiweb currently provide up to 10 Mbit/s downstream using the DOCSIS packet cable standard over wireless microwave links in many urban centres across Ireland, using a Line Of Sight (LOS) CPE aerial to high site system. The system emulates a cable TV service through the 5 GHz band. However, at present, Digiweb only provide internet and VoIP services - no cable TV service is available. The service is branded as "Metro" broadband, and includes both internet and voice in the one package.:

In Switzerland cablecom GmbH (http://www.hispeed.ch), the Cable Internet, TV and Telephone provider offers Internet access with 10 Mbit/s downstream and 1 Mbit/s upstream.

Telstra offers cable with speed plans of up to 8, 17 and 30 Mb down, and 128, 256 Kb and 1Mb up.Telstra through its ISPBigPond provides these cable internet services, and currently has the largest cable internet network in Australia, covering the main Australian capitals (Sydney ,Melbourne ,Brisbane , Perth,Adelaide and theGold Coast ).*
Optus through its ISP OptusNet offers one standard speed of up to 20 Mbit down and 128Kb up. These cable incumbents in Australia are ramping up speeds to keep product parity with the more competitive ADSL2+ services.*
Neighbourhood Cable , a rural Australian cable provider, allows users to opt for a shaped plan at a lower cost (with speeds similar to those of ADSL providers) or an "uncapped" service, which promises download speeds of up to 30 Mbit/s and upstream speeds of 2 Mbit/s.*
