Pelargonidin is an anthocyanidin, or type of plant pigment. Like all anthocyanins, it is an antioxidant. It produces an characterisitic orange color, and can be found in red geraniums, and ripe raspberries and strawberries, as well as blueberries, blackberries, plums and cranberries.
