Jim Symon

Jim Symon is a Scottish broadcaster who is currently a presenter for Glasgow radio station Clyde 2.

Born and raised in Glasgow, Symon began his career at Radio Clyde in 1981 as a relief presenter for the Drivetime programme "Clydewide Tonight". [ [http://www.clyde2.com/showdj.asp?DJID=22897 Clyde 2 - Jim Symon page] ] . Afterwards, he continued to present various programmes for the station.

By 1983, Symon had joined Scottish Television as a continuity announcer and newsreader. During this time, he voiced many nationwide TV advertisements in the UK and was also chosen as the voice for a talking version of an Action Man toy. Symon continued announcing on a freelance basis when he became a Presentation Director for Scottish TV in 1988. He also announced and directed transmission for Grampian Television. He left Scottish Television in 2003.

After a stint presenting on Westsound Radio in Ayr, Symon joined Clyde 2, the AM station of Radio Clyde. He now presents late evening shows from Monday to Thursday nights and also presents the Saturday breakfast show.
