Karl Martens (born July 12,1989 in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada) is a German-Canadian Semi-professional footballer with A.F.C. Tubize, a first division team in Belgium. Martens has trained with the club for a few months. He has been stellar as a keeper for the club.

Prior to joining A.F.C. Tubize, Martens served his duties to an amateur soccer club Hellas S.C. in Winnipeg, Manitoba, where he was discovered by KV Mechelen, another team in Belgium where he trained in until May of 2008. At only age 18, he played 10 games with a Goals Against Average of 0.8 a game for Hellas S.C..

Martens attended River East Collegiate, a High school in Winnipeg, from 2005-2008 completing all major credits before making the decision to jump to the big leagues. Karl Jakob Martens, son of Armin and Denise Martens, signed as a free agent with KV Mechelen in January, 2008, and is currently training as the 3rd goaltender for A.F.C. Tubize.

In 2006 he was on trial at Oud-Heverlee Leuven and FC Molenbeek Brussels Strombeek.
