Virgie is an unincorporated community in Pike County, Kentucky, United States. Located along Kentucky Route 1469, it lies at 37.335ºN, 82.579ºW at the altitude of 902 feet.GR|1

There are two schools in Virgie:
*George F Johnson Elementary School
*Virgie Middle School

Virgie is in the Eastern Coal Field region.

The community was named for the daughter of W.O.B. Ratliff, who was a lawyer.

Virgie Middle School used to be Virgie High school. Virgie High School started in 1939 and its last full year of operation as a high school ended in June 1990. In the fall of 1990, VHS became Virgie Middle School.
