Career

Zagórska and Siudek teamed up in 1995.[2] She previously skated with Janusz Komendera, and before that she was a singles skater. Zagórska and Siudek were Polish national champions for many years and finished as high as second at the European Championships and third at the World Championships.

In 2003, they moved to Montreal, Canada to work with Richard Gauthier. The Siudeks planned to retire after the 2005/2006 season, but made the decision to stay in after the 2007 European Championships were assigned to Poland, and eventually won the bronze medal at that event. They were forced to withdraw from the 2007 World Championships during the long program due to an injury suffered by Mariusz. The couple took their final bows, then left the ice.

Dorota Zagórska began using her married name, Dorota Siudek, professionally during the 2006-2007 season, her final competitive season.

The Siudeks announced their retirement from competitive skating following the 2007 Worlds. After retiring, they returned to Poland and began coaching in Toruń.[3] They currently coach Stacey Kemp and David King.

Siudek is an International Technical Specialist for Poland.[4]

Personal life

Siudek proposed to Zagórska during the 2000 World Championships, and they were married in 2001. Their son, Richard, was born on July 7, 2009.[5]
