Academy of Fine Arts and Design, Ljubljana

The Academy of Fine Arts and Design ( _sl. Akademija za likovno umetnost in oblikovanje, also known with the acronym ALUO, is a prestigious art academy and institution based in Ljubljana, Slovenia [ [] ] . It is part of the University of Ljubljana.

Over the years many of Slovenia's most noted painters and artists have taught or been a member of the academy. From 1945 to 1961, Božidar Jakac taught graphic arts at the academy where he also served as a dean three times. The current dean of the Academy is Stane Bernik.
