"Liquid Tension Experiment 2" is the second album by the band Liquid Tension Experiment. The tracks were largely improvised with little rehearsal, and there are no vocals.

Notes

* Part of "Acid Rain" is played on the Dream Theater album "Live Scenes from New York".
* A riff also on "Acid Rain" (specifically at 4:15) is very similar to the song "Race With Devil On Spanish Highway" by Al Di Meola, of whom Petrucci is a fan.
* "When The Water Breaks" is so named because when the band was writing the central section, John Petrucci got word that his wife's water had broken. There is a "baby soundscape" to landmark the part of the piece being written when he got the news.
* John Petrucci has stated in the notes to the album that "Hourglass" was written and recorded in the wee hours with old strings.
