Rollo is a department or commune of Bam Province in north-western Burkina Faso. Its capital lies at the town of Rollo. According to the 1996 census the department has a total population of 25,631 [ [http://www.inforoute-communale.gov.bf/list_vill/centre_nord.htm Burkinabé government inforoute communale] ] . In 2007, as part of political decentralisation, new Mayors were elected to replace the exisiting local politicians. Issa Ouermi was elected mayor of the Rollo Department.
