The World Figure Skating Championships is an annual figure skating competition sanctioned by the International Skating Union in which figure skaters compete for the title of World Champion.

The 1969 championships took place on February 26th to March 3rd, 1973 in Bratislava, Slovakia, Czechoslovakia. The opening ceremony was held at the philharmony of Bratislava. Chairman of the organising commitee was Miroslav Cerveka.
