Aceramic is a classification of certain early human civilisations, implying the culture has not yet produced pottery. The attribute is often associated with the early phase of Neolithic cultures.An example of aceramic peoples includes certain early settlements on the island of Cyprus circa 8000 to 5600 BC. Alternatively this type of culture is sometimes termed preceramic.
