Gabhra

Gabhra

Gabhra or Tara-Skryne is an area in County Meath in Ireland. The name was coined by people objecting to the M3 motorway currently under construction. It is situated between the hills of Tara and Skryne.

This was the site of the Battle of Gabhra circa 284, where the power of the Fianna was broken by the High King. The battle is described in the Book of Leinster.
