Batak Karo is an
Austronesian languagethat is spoken in Indonesia. It is used by around 600,000 people in the central and northern part of Sumatra. It is written using the Batak alphabetwhich is descended from the Brahmi scriptof ancient India by way of the Pallavaand Old Kawiscripts.
