Droylsden Metrolink Station is a future station under construction as part of Phase 3a of the Manchester Metrolink, and will serve the town of Droylsden in Greater Manchester. The station is scheduled to open in the summer of 2012 and will initially be the terminus of the East Manchester Line up until the winter of 2013/14, after which it will continue to Ashton-under-Lyne[1].

The station will be located on Ashton Road at the junction of Market Street in the town centre[2].

Trams are scheduled along the East Manchester line westbound towards Manchester Piccadilly station before continuing through the city centre towards other destinations, whilst eastbound trams will originally terminate at Droyslden upon opening before heading towards Ashton-under-Lyne in the winter of 2013. Trams will run every 12 minutes Monday-Saturday daytime, increasing to every 6 minutes at peak times. On Sundays and Bank Holidays, there will be a 15 minute service[1].

There has been much controversy surrounding the development to the Metrolink line, with many Droylsden residents complaining about the disruption to traffic and local businesses.
