The Low Frequency in Stereo are a
post-rockgroup that was founded in February 2000 in a small town called Haugesund in Norway. The music is primarily instrumental in nature like most others in the genre. While not the originators of the post-rocksound, their music is widely agreed to be a perfect example of the genre. Also sometimes referred to as one of many lo-fibands. David Fricke- Senior Editor – Rolling Stonedescribed the concert in Austin , Texas 2005 like this:
"The music is a mixture of the long solo elements in "the Doors" set to the raptide of Joy Division's “transmission” with the surf guitar twang of Dick Dale. They are the Coolest Rulers from Scandinavia!"
Their third album "
The Last Temptation Of...The Low Frequency in Stereo Vol. 1", was released on the 20th of March to many great reviews. The album was recorded in Crystal Canyon, the studio of Knut Schreiner( Euroboys, Turbonegro) and Anders Møller( Euroboys), and was also produced by Anders Møller.
