Alison Cork

Alison Cork (born 28 July, 1963) is a British television presenter and journalist who is best known as a columnist for the Daily Telegraph and Evening Standard and presenter of ITV property shows "Home In The Country" [ [http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0180356/ "Home in the Country" (1998) ] ] and "60 Minute Makeover" [ [http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0407354/ "60 Minute Makeover" (2004) ] ] .

Alison Cork's first television appearance was in "Home In The Country" in 1996. Since then she has authored five books on the subject of property and interiors. They are "Profit Through The Post" (1994), "The Streetwise Guide to Renovating Your Home" (1996), "Home In The Country" (1997), "Beautiful Baking" (1999) and "Special Occasions" (2000). She has since continued presenting with London Tonight (ITV) and Five (channel) and become an online journalist, writing regular columns for AOL, Orange (brand), Sky and the Telegraph.

In 2000, Cork founded [http://www.problemsolved.co.uk ProblemSolved] , a social networking site designed to find reliable tradespeople, and in 2004, she launched [http://www.homesandbargains.co.uk Homes & Bargains] , a website about money saving in the home.

In 2003, Cork set up [http://www.bayswatermediagroup.com The Bayswater Media Group] , a company that spans publishing, digital and licensing activities.

In 2008, Cork was named as BBC London 94.9’s property commentator and co-presenter of "60 Minute Makeover" and "Homes and Property".

She lives in central London with her husband and two young sons.
