Roberto Cammarelle

Roberto Cammarelle (born July 30, 1980 in Milan) is an Italian boxer, best known for winning the 2007 World Amateur Boxing Championships at super heavyweight and a gold medal at the 2008 Beijing Olympic Games [cite news|url=http://www.rte.ie/sport/olympics2008/2008/0824/cammarelle.html|title=Cammarelle eases to gold|accessdate=2008-08-24] . His parents are lucanian, his father Angelo is from Rionero in Vulture and his mother Giovanna from Filiano, they emigrated in Cinisello Balsamo (Milan)

Amateur medals

He also won a Super Heavyweight bronze medal at the 2004 Summer Olympics and the silver medal at the 2004 European Amateur Boxing Championships in Pula, Croatia. The southpaw also won the bronze medal at the 2005 World Amateur Boxing Championships in Mianyang, People's Republic of China where he easily beat American Mike Wilson.
