Cape Astrup

Cape Astrup (coord|64|43|S|63|11|W|) is a bold, dark-colored bluff marking the north end of Wiencke Island, in the Palmer Archipelago. Discovered by the Belgian Antarctic Expedition, 1897-99, and named by Gerlache for Eivind Astrup, Norwegian Arctic explorer and member of Robert Peary's expeditions to Greenland in 1891-92 and 1893-95.
