Protestantism in the United Kingdom

Protestantism appeared very early in United Kingdom. First reformers such as John Wycliffe come from there. However, after long persecution, they have gained freedom under Henry VIII in 1534 when Church of England separated from Roman Catholic Church.

Bible translations

Wyclif's Bible was first English translation of the Bible. Later came Authorized King James Version.
