Oldest Test cricketers on debut

James Southerton (England, born 16 November 1827, debut 15 March 1877) was the oldest cricketer to make his Test debut, at the age of age in years and days|1827|11|16|1877|3|15. Southerton was also the first Test cricketer to die.

Note: The oldest person to make his "first-class" debut as well as to play first-class cricket was Raja Maharaj Singh at the age of 72.
